Well, it was truly my intention to keep up to date with this blog, but with a full practise, clinic to run and a baby on the way, it has slipped into the newly developed recesses of my baby brain.
We have implemented a new software, still in the process of working out the gliches, but overall, it is an improvement. This software allows us to access our information online from wherever we may be. It also has the option of allowing clients to book online, which we have not enabled yet. Still weighing the pros and cons of that system. What it does do though, is send you an automatic reminder either by email or text, so next time your in, please make sure we have your most up to date information to put into our system.
So, I will start with a quick blurb about a new product we are currently selling at the clinic…stay tuned…and thanks for your patience
I cant believe this time of the year is here again, and truly here in full swing! It feels like the depths of winter, and as much as the snow days, blizzards, cold mornings and wet socks can be a pain, it certainly adds to the at spirit of the season. The clinic will be open up until December 24th, and will be open the week between Christmas and New Years with limited practitioners in. Jennifer Posylek and Jennifer Keaveney will be available for massage therapy appointments, and Jeff Green will be in on December 29th. Julie Thurston will be off all week, returning on January 4th. We would like to take this time to wish you and yours all the very best of the season and a very Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year.
The November Alive magazine recently published an awesome article on Osteopathy, which we are more than happy to pass along. As a student, practitioner, and patient of osteopathy, I still feel amazed and bewildered when trying to answer the question “what is osteopathy?”. Kudos to the author and the publication for doing a great job of answering that question well.

We are launching a revamped version of our existing website. Some of the new additions is a calender of events to view upcoming workshops, sessions and keep checking back for a spring time retreat!
We are also launching this new blog to keep you posted not just on what is going on around the office, and with our practitioners, but also with interesting and new health care trends. Stay tuned for blogs about flu season from Dr. Julie Thurston, info about how to shovel snow properly from our massage therapists, and maybe even a few guest bloggers from our colleagues and associates with whom we network with.
A Little note about me:
I will be taking a small leave from my practise in January and February to travel to Nicaragua where I will be working at a small surf/yoga/Eco lodge called Buena Vista Surf Camp. I will keep you all posted with how it is going on this blog, and hopefully have a chance to upload some photos of monkeys, sun salutations and waves!
Jeff Green RMT will be available to see patients for osteopathic type treatments, and Jennifer Keaveney RMT and Jennifer Posylek RMT will be available for massage therapy, please call the clinic to arrange with sessions with them in my absence. I will be back at the office March 1, 2011, and am already taking appointments for that time.
