Victoria Duncan, RMT,
Osteopathy (current studies), Clinic owner

Victoria studied massage therapy at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, www.collegeofmassage.com after studying Anthropology at University of Guelph. She graduated with honors in June of 1998. She has successfully completed additional training in Sports Therapy, Pregnancy and Infant Massage, Myofascial Release and Unwinding, Craniosacral Therapy, Australian Bowen Therapy, Thai Yoga massage, hot stone massage, as well as various forms of energy therapies and eastern meditation techniques.
In addition to her practice of massage, Victoria has also trained to become a Doula (professional labour coach).

Victoria is currently in her fifth year of studies in Osteopathy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. www.ostepathiecollege.com.

Victoria practices Massage therapy with an Osteopathic
approach,  using advanced assessment, palpation and treatment skills, aiming to help bring balance to her clients in a holistic manner by encompassing mind body and spirit.

Victoria has also recently completed her yoga teacher training in Baja Mexico at the Yandara Institute.  She is enjoying adding the benefits of yoga practice, not only in her daily life, but also by sharing with her clients.  She teaches classes weekly.  (see yoga section)

Victoria is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario www.cmto.com.

Victoria opened Well Now in its new location in January 2007. She is committed to a high standard of professionalism, as well as providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere at Well Now.

Jennifer Keaveney, RMT

Jennifer studied Massage Therapy at Everest College in Barrie, and graduated in June 2008. She is thrilled with her new career choice as she has always been interested in the medical field and in helping people reach their optimal health.

She has successfully completed the Hot Stone Massage and Thai Hot Stem Massage courses and plans to expand her knowledge base through taking more courses over the next few years.

Jennifer takes pride in providing the most benefit based on each persons needs by using specific techniques and giving appropriate homecare to continue rehabilitation.

Jennifer is a member of the College of Massage Therapists and the Ontario Massage Therapists Association.

Jennifer is excited to have joined the team at Well Now and is warmly welcoming new clients for sports or work related injuries, MVA’s, prenatal treatments, stress related injuries or disorders and general wellness treatments. Evening and weekend appointments are available.

Jennifer Posylek, RMT

Jennifer became interested in complimentary medicine and the field of massage therapy while living in Japan for nine years. After returning to Canada and her hometown of Barrie, she enrolled in the massage therapy program at CDI College graduating in August 2006. She is enthusiastic about building her practice through the multidisciplinary setting of Well Now Holistic Health Centre on Bayfield Street.

She is accepting new clients and looks forward to serving the residents of Barrie.

Julie Thurston, N.D.

Julie Thurston completed her graduate medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Toronto. She is a registered Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in Ontario and is a member of both the Ontario and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

Julie interprets information gathered from extensive history taking, physical examination and laboratory testing of saliva, blood and urine to understand the unique needs of each patient. She then offers her patients effective, science-based natural therapies (nutritional interventions, homeopathy, Asian medicine and acupuncture, botanical medicine) that address the underlying causes of their health concerns.

Although, she maintains a general family practice, she has developed strong clinical experience with women’s health, fertility and pediatrics as well as digestive and hormonal issues. Her careful explanation of diagnostic and treatment options allows her patients to become active participants in their healing process.

Jeff Green, RMT, Osteopathy (current studies)

Jeff has been working in the rehabilitation field for over 13 years. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and completed his Registered Massage Therapy designation with honours at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in North York. He is currently in his fifth year of study at the Toronto Campus of the Canadian College of Osteopathy.

Jeff’s massage therapy practice is primarily osteopathic in nature. He utilizes advanced assessment skills and treatment techniques such as cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy, visceral manipulation, and counter-strain to assist patients. Jeff ‘s clients range from professional athletes and weekend warriors to people with chronic pain, migraines, and the elderly. Jeff also effectively works with children, with various issues, including; behavioral issues, ear and sinus problems, immunity and birth traumas. Jeff is always committed to providing holistic manual therapy with the focus on finding the cause of dysfunction.

Jeff is a member in good standing of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, the Ontario Massage Therapists Association and the Ontario Osteopathic Association.
